Day 1: Guwahati to Shillong Transfer

  • Arrive at the Guwahati Airport / Railway Station and meet with our representative, then just go ahead and drive towards Shillong. 
  • Shillong is famously called “the Scotland of the East” so expect lovely views and that whole mood. 
  • On the way stop at Umiam Lake (Barapani) which is kind of scenic , and you can take part in optional water sports if you feel like it. 
  • After that, check into your hotel as soon as you reach Shillong.
  • In the evening, head out to Police Bazaar and wander around, it’s lively and full of small sights. Overnight stay will be in Shillong.
  • Have breakfast at the hotel, then head out
  • Go to the gorgeous Laitlum Canyons for the jaw dropping panoramic looking views, it’s pretty unreal. 
  • Wander around and explore Krang Suri Falls, it’s really beautiful. 
  • Then, take a refreshing dip in the natural pool, it’s totally optional
  • Also enjoy the distinctive view from behind the waterfall, Kinda special. 
  • After all the sightseeing, come back to Shillong
  • Overnight stay in Shillong
  • Have breakfast and then, just check out from the hotel, kind of casually.
  • Go see the Don Bosco Museum, it's closed on Sundays so keep that in mind.
  • Take a calm walk around Ward's Lake, no rush no fuss.
  • Then, drive over to Cherrapunjee, sort of passing by the scenic Mawdok Valley Viewpoint on the way, as you go. 
  • After reaching Cheerapunjee, check into the hotel right away. 
  • Relax in the hotel and enjoy the scenic views by having a delicious dinner.

  • Have some refreshing breakfast in the morning 
  • Head over to Eco Park and, just take in its scenic landscapes, you know that calm kind of view.

  • After that, pop into Mawsmai Cave it’s really fascinating inside. 
  • Later enjoy panoramic views from Thangkharang Park before the light shifts. 
  • If you feel up for it , do a sort of optional trek to the Double Decker Living Root Bridge plus Rainbow Falls. 
  • Finally, stay overnight in Cherrapunjee.
  • Enjoy the breakfast, and do the check out from the hotel. 
  • Take the drive back towards Guwahati
  • On the way, stop at the pretty Elephant Falls
  • Then check in at your hotel in Guwahati
  • Afterwards, make your way at the Kalakshetra, so you can really absorb the Assamese Art, culture, and history in a more interesting way. 
  • Then stay overnight in Guwahati
  • Have your breakfast and check out from the hotel.
  • Then, try to drop by the sacred Kamakhya Temple, depending on how your departure time goes. 
  • After that, proceed with the transfer towards the Guwahati Airport or the Railway Station.
