The 6- day diary offers the complete pioneer experience of the Eastern Himalayas through its combination of Sikkim's tranquil Buddhist traditions and pristine mountain lakes with Darjeeling's major social structures and world- famed tea garden. Your journey begins from Gangtok. The capital city provides the best scenic views for travellers while travelling to The sacred Tsomgo Lake. Your next location of exploration will be Darjeeling. It's one of the major hill stations of Sikkim. Sightseers can witness the swish dawn views of the Kanchenjunga, the world third topmost peak. Kanchenjunga is also a part of the UNESCO World Heritage point.

Day 1: Arrival at NJP Station / Bagdogra Airport – Gangtok (130 kms / 4 hrs)

You'll be received by our representative at Railway Station( NJP) or airfield( IXB) who'll help you in boarding your private vehicle. The 4- hour scenic drive takes you through the lush Himalayan foothills which follow the Teesta River to Gangtok, the capital megacity of Sikkim. You need to check into your hotel after your appearance. The entire day is available for you to adjust to the new environment while you visit the nearby area at your convenience. You will stay overnight in Gangtok.

Day 2: Gangtok Full Day Sightseeing

The full-day tour of Gangtok's cultural and spiritual sites begins after breakfast. Your sightseeing will include:

  • Rumtek Monastery A magnific hermitage that serves as the seat of the Karmapa.
  • Jhakri Waterfall A scenic cascade with a traditional shaman statue.
  • Do-rul Chhorten: A prominent stupa containing rare Buddhist texts.
  • The Research Institute of Tibetology which operates during the week and remains closed on Sundays, functions as a globally recognized research center that houses extensive collections of exceptional manuscripts and thangkas.
  • The Directorate of Handicraft & Handloom which operates on Sundays, displays traditional Sikkim carpets and wood carvings and fabrics.
  • The Flower Show presents a stunning exhibition of the region's unique orchids and floral varieties. 
  • Relax at the hotel room for night.

Day 3: Excursion to Tsomgo Lake & Baba Mandir

  • Start your day at breakfast time for a trip to the beautiful Tsomgo Lake which is located at an elevation of 12400 feet. The local people view this oval-shaped glacial lake as a holy site which provides stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. The lake presents its most attractive appearance during its peaceful moments and throughout the different times of the year.
  • Trip down the road to reach Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir which serves as a holy point for military force. The afternoon drive back to Gangtok offers beautiful views of the country.( Please note (In case Tsomgo Lake is closed due to landslides or bad rainfall, an alternate sightseeing stint will be handed.) The group will spend the night at their hotel in Gangtok.

Day 4: Gangtok – Darjeeling (115 kms / 5-6 hrs)

Your breakfast at the hotel will antecede your scenic drive to Darjeeling which stands at 7380 bases above ocean position. The trip requires 5 to 6 hours of trip time as it passes through scenic tea garden and thick timber areas. The" Queen of the Hills" area will be your destination for checking into your hotel. You will spend the evening time in a relaxing way while you experience the tranquil environment. You will stay overnight in Darjeeling.

Day 5: Darjeeling Full Day Sightseeing

The first activity of your Darjeeling day requires you to drive to Tiger Hill at 8364 feet elevation during the early morning hours. The first rays of light create a breathtaking sunrise which shows the peak of Mount Kanchenjunga. The town visit includes these locations:

  • Ghoom Monastery A 150- time-old hermitage that contains a 15- feet statue of the Maitreya Buddha.
  • Batasia Loop The rail circle creates a helical path which displays a war keepsake and offers guests stunning mountain lookouts.
  • The hotel breakfast requires you to return. The tour begins after breakfast as we visit Japanese Temple & Peace Pagoda and Peace Pagoda which showcases Buddhist architectural design at its tranquil site.
  • The position displays its exposed snow leopard species and features a mountaineering history gallery.
  • Darjeeling Ropeway Lift( Ticket cost not included, approx. INR 180 per person) The lift provides a bird-eye's- eye view of the city and the graphic valley below.
  • Tenzing & Gombu Rock A gemstone climbing training center named after notorious Sherpa hikers.
  • The Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center operates on Sundays as a Tibetan crafts center that produces both carpets and leather goods.
  • The photo stop allows visitors to view the renowned tea plantations which create a complete visual experience of the tea estate.
  • The visitors will spend the night in Darjeeling.

Day 6: Darjeeling – NJP Station / Bagdogra Airport (110 kms / 3 hrs)

You must leave your hotel after you finish breakfast. Your return journey begins from Railway Station or Airport as you depart with joyful memories of the "Amazing North East."
